Akello Stone - “Seeking Selfdom in the Age of Selfies,”

Today`s episode we have special guest Akello ,Stone.AkelloStone has been an adjunct sociology professor for 20 years, both in-person and online, teaching courses that include social problems, families and intimate relationships, and sex and gender. He has served as a board member and volunteer mentor with numerous youth development NPOs and was the former Executive Director of Hill Harper’s Manifest Your Destiny Foundation. He has presented countless workshops, presentations, and keynote speeches, and has served as host both on camera and at a number of large-scale, live events. He is also a commercial actor and knows the struggles of production having founded several boutique production companies and loves helping other creatives along their own, unique paths.In 2020 Stone self-published the book “Seeking Selfdom in the Age of Selfies,” which offers readers a multidisciplinary approach to getting to know themselves on profound and meaningful level. The book was subsequently followed by a video/audio podcast series that explores the ideas and perspectives shared in each chapter. He has produced and directed several web series, short films, and an interview-style documentary called #pushing50 that explores the challenges and benefits of being middle-aged in the modern era.
