Trump and Project 2025. On Tuesday, The Heritage Foundation’s Paul Dans announced he was stepping down from his position as director of the 2025 Presidential Transition Project, also known as Project 2025. Dans’s exit comes after weeks of Democratic criticism of the project on the campaign trail and repeated disavowals from former President Donald Trump, who has insisted Project 2025 is not a blueprint for his second term.
