This was our first of two interviews with the great Fred Lynn. The first person to win the Rookie of the Year and MVP awards (the only other is Ichiro Suzuki) and added the gold Glove award for good measure (which also had never been done by a Rookie). During his 7 years in Boston, Fred batted 308 with an OBP of 383 and an OPS of 902. He finished his 17 year career batting .283 with 300 homers and 1111 RBIs.
