April Tucker has been described as a “Jane of all trades,” performing nearly every major role in post-production sound over her career in Los Angeles (Foley and ADR mixer, dialog editor, music editor, score mixer, sound designer, sound supervisor, re-recording mixer). April has mixed major television network series with some audiences over 10 million viewers. Her film work has been seen at major festivals such as Sundance, Cannes, SXSW and Tribeca. April’s clients range from major studios and corporations to indie filmmakers and composers. April has been writing for industry publications and websites, and her own blog for over 10 years. She is currently writing a textbook for Routledge (Taylor & Francis Group), and enjoys doing educational outreach and consulting. April holds two degrees in sound (Master’s Degree in Sound Recording, McGill University; Bachelor’s Degree in Music Production and Technology, University of Hartford) and a certificate of Business Entrepreneurship from Santa Monica College.
