China's President Xi Jin Ping is on the search for new trade partners as he tours Southeast Asia this week. He's looking to present China as a source of stability and certainty in the wake of US President Donald Trump's latest tariffs. Earlier this week, the Chinese President signed dozens of agreements with Vietnam in Hanoi, before heading to Malaysia where he'll discuss moves to eradicate trade barriers with the 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
