Call for more awareness around childhood rheumatic diseases

Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is one of the most common chronic diseases affecting young Australians. Yesterday Radio National Breakfast spoke to Adam Peacock, the father of a nine-year-old girl with the condition, as he echoed calls for better education and public awareness of rheumatic diseases.  There was a parliamentary inquiry into childhood rheumatic diseases which handed down its interim findings in 2022, but the inquiry never finished.  Guest: Jonathan Smithers, CEO, Arthritis Australia Producer: Kelly-Anne Taylor
