Welcome back for another episode of It's the Journey! If you are a first time listener, Welcome and thank you for joining me! You all are in for a treat and some wonderful lessons! My guest on this episode is Jodi Werner. I've known Jodi for just over 5 years. I met Jodi, like so many of my amazing friends, through improv. Over the years I've enjoyed seeing her skills grow as a chef, especially when she took on the responsibility of running the kitchen at The Improv Shop! It was so fun to see her take on that challenge and see her thrive as she continued to grow the menu and fine tune what the kitchen offered. It was always a treat to see her pop out of the kitchen to say "hi" and confirm her suspicions about who was at the shop based the orders that came through. And then it was always, always a joy to see Jodi up on stage. She's fearless, smart, and so, so funny! Then, as it did for all of us, Covid impacted Jodi's world when the theater had to close due to the global pandemic. In this episode, Jodi tells her story of turning a lemon into lemonade as she decided to use her talents to start her own business and help provide comfort to friends, family, and eventually a huge and growing list of customers by providing home cooked meals through her new company, Jodi's Kitchen! This is such a great story with so many wonderful lessons. And, there's a guest "appearance" from her talkative cat Siouxsie! Check out the Facebook Group for Jodi's Kitchen. It's a closed group but you are totally welcome join so you can order some of Jodi's amazing home cooked meals and enjoy some of her food that really does feel like a hug. Jodi has a big heart full of love and you can feel that in her craft of cooking! Thank you for listening and Thank you to Jodi for being an amazing human being! And as always, please say yes to Your Dreams, Follow the fun that is calling you, and Enjoy Your Journey! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/carlopodcast/support
