Welcome to Episode 1708 in which host McKenna Cassidy interviews Valentina Adami of Graziano Prà this week on The Next Generation where young Italian wine people 30 and under shake up the wine scene. More about today’s winery Graziano Prà winery is the sum of the farsighted choices of its winemaker, who has always placed at the center of his work the enhancement of the territory in which it is born. The winery has forty hectares planted in the hills of Soave, with volcanic soils, and eight hectares in Valpolicella, where he cultivates vines at an altitude of 500m, on calcareous soil and in an area characterized by large diurnal range, influenced by cold currents from the Lessini Mountains and Mount Carega. A pioneer for the use of the screw cap in Italy and founder of Gli Svitati, Graziano Prà produces five labels from vineyards in Soave, Otto, Staforte, Monte Grande, Colle Sant'Antonio and Passito Bianco delle Fontane, and the Morandina line from vineyards in Valpolicella: Valpolicella, Ripasso and Amarone della Valpolicella.
