Professionalising how the civil service works
Institute for Government - Un pódcast de Institute for Government

The civil service is in the middle of undertaking a series of ambitious reforms which attempt to modernise the way government works. With the challenge of Brexit and growing pressures on public services, it is more important than ever that these reforms succeed. Hosted by the Institute for Government, in partnership with Oracle, this event coincides with the launch of a new report which examines how much progress has been made in eight core areas – finance, commercial, HR, digital, legal, communications, project delivery and policy making. Julian McCrae, Deputy Director at the Institute for Government, presented the key findings from the Institute’s latest report Professionalising Whitehall, followed by a response from Sir Amyas Morse, the Comptroller and Auditor General of the National Audit Office. The event was chaired by Bronwen Maddox, Director of the Institute for Government.
