Even success comes with some peaks and valleys... It's all Hot Docs all the time, as the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival beings to wind down in it's final weekend with some amazing cinema playing until May 9th at hotdocs.ca geo-locked for all of Canada. On this episode we're getting into the music as we look at '7 Years of Lukas Graham' which tracks the audacious rise of the band 'Lukas Graham' from playing clubs to stadiums and being nominated for Grammys while on world tour. But as with life, there's high and lows as the anonymity of being an artist fades away with life on the road as a pop music sensation while navigating the highs and lows that we all deal wit like losing a parent and becoming one in a short period time. We got the distinct pleasure to sit and talk with not only director Rene Sascha Johannsen but the man himself in Lukas Forchhammer to talk about the origins of the films, the high and lows that were captured along the way and learning to appreciate those little moments in life which matter so much more then the aspirational ones that end up being more then a little hollow.
