Sometimes you just get what you need....On what could only be described as a micro-episode we get the pleasure of getting some time with writer/director Dean Fleischer-Camp to talk about 'Marcel The Shell With Shoes On' which is in theatres now....Marcel is an adorable one-inch-tall shell who ekes out a colorful existence with his grandmother Connie and their pet lint, Alan. Once part of a sprawling community of shells, they now live alone as the sole survivors of a mysterious tragedy. But when a documentary filmmaker discovers them amongst the clutter of his Airbnb, the short film he posts online brings Marcel millions of passionate fans, as well as unprecedented dangers and a new hope at finding his long-lost family. There is an emotional depth that works on so many different levels for this piece of cinema which is why it is resonating so well with audiences all of the world. We took part in a round table with the young director and he had this to say about the seemingly sage and philosophical bent that the character has as we join the round table....Marcel The Shell With Shoes On is in theatres everywhere....now.
