Episode 248: In The Seats With...The Director and Cast of 'Spaghetti Junction'

It's always amazing when two unique kinds of stores come together..On this episode we're diving into yet another film festival; the Austin Film Festival which is kicking off this weekend as we look at the world premiere of a fantastic new film; 'Spaghetti Junction'.It's the story of August, who is struggling to adjust to life after losing her leg in a brutal car wreck. One night she sees a flash in the sky and begins having strange dreams where a glowing figure beckons her towards a cave. Upon awakening, she goes to investigate a cave near her house— and inside she finds a strange and injured boy, “The Traveler”, who claims to have supernatural origins. As August’s family life deteriorates—she begins visiting “The Traveler” daily, bringing him clothes, food and medicine, and listening to him talk about his world and plight. A romance develops between them, and together they embark on a journey to find the map back to his world, but things go awry when a strange alien cult interfere. We had the pleasure of sitting down with writer/director Kirby McClure and stars Cate Hughes, Tyler Rainey and Cameron McHarg in advance of their world premiere this coming Saturday at the Austin Film Festival.  We talked about the origin of story, the unique setting of the film, being true to the characters and so very much more...
