Every movie needs a second chance...On this episode we go back to a film which is releasing it's director's cut on VOD platforms tomorrow. Be sure and be open to a 'Welcome To Happiness'.Woody (Kyle Gallner), a children’s author, rents a strange apartment from his landlord, Moses (Nick Offerman). There’s a magical door in Woody’s closet that allows those who go through it to erase mistakes from their past. While he was once happy to facilitate the passage of the random strangers summoned to his apartment, Woody soon begins to question why he himself is not allowed to go through, finding himself on a downward spiral of jealousy, anger, and resentment that threatens his relationship with his girlfriend, Trudy (Olivia Thirlby) and his literary agent (Paget Brewster).Full disclosure...back in 2016, this movie got panned...and I mean badly, but as we're in the back half of a depressing global pandemic this films time just might be now. We got the distinct pleasure to sit down with writer/director Oliver Thompson and star Brendan Sexton III to talk about the making of...and now legacy of the film which is quite honestly a little ray of sunshine in our otherwise moderately depressing media landscape.
