Our 100th episode is here! We decided to celebrate by listening to some old tapes in an abandoned cabin in Tennessee. Our musical guest was The Ableist with their new track "The Last Go-Round" featuring Claudia of Chicago hardcore punk band Shitzen and Alice of the recently disbanded Chicago pysch rock group Thee Casual Hex. The Ableist takes their name from their experiences with cerebral palsy while their lyrics seek to challenge listeners by confronting them with the life of people with disabilities under capitalism. “The Last Go-Round” dives into depression, the existential and the absurd in the absence of crises, as well as suicidal ideation.
